The Liddle Lab offers a multidisciplinary environment to conduct research and explore fundamental processes in enteroendocrine cell biology and diseases of the pancreas. We are focused on achieving the following goals in order to advance health and accelerate the discovery of new information with the goal of unveiling novel potential medical treatments.

Research on the Pancreas is focused on understanding the fundamental mechanisms of pancreatitis. Our long-term goal is to develop strategies for preventing and treating pancreatitis and its association with pancreatic cancer.

Research on Enteroendocrine Cells and the Gut Connectome is to understand the role of enteroendocrine cells in the origin and pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases with a primary focus on Parkinson’s disease.
